So....this is my very first blog entry. I've been thinking about it for quite some time. Suddenly this evening the thought came to mind, "No time like the present!" In choosing my blog name, the Lord used something that spoke to me in such a powerful way. It's SIMPLE....the Lord wants me to LIVE THIS LIFE with my EYES WIDE OPEN!!! His desire is for me to live INTENTIONALLY. To live each season to the fullest and be expectant of all HE is doing in each season no matter the circumstance. The easy times......those are not what causes the most growth. The difficult seasons turn out to be the MOST beautiful! I liken these ever changing seasons to planting flowers. One must do what is necessary to cultivate growth. If left alone, the beauty inside each seed will never see the LIGHT OF DAY. That which He is cultivating in us is a work in progress. Sometimes easy. Sometimes painful. One thing is certain.......always necessary! In keeping this first entry short and simple, I'll end with this prayer:
Abba,
Help me LIVE THIS LIFE with my EYES WIDE OPEN.
OPEN WIDE these EYES to my need for You and You alone.
TURN these EYES away from the distractions of this world.
FIX my EYES to Your Plan for me in all areas.
STRENGTHEN my EYES so I can see Your path for me.
As a woman, wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend: Use this LIFE in a way that is pleasing to You, Abba!
